This article will discuss the features of the StealthTouch or S-Line point-of-sale terminal. 

Power Button

The power button (a) is located underneath the lower left-hand corner of the touch screen. Press the button upwards to turn on the terminal. This is a spring-loaded switch, so it will return to its original position. A green power light (b) will illuminate when the terminal is powered on.
 

Touch Screen

A user can adjust their view of the touch screen by tilting the monitor up or down. Tilting the monitor is also necessary for accessing the port bay (c) and receipt printer (d). To tilt backwards, lightly press forward on the top of the monitor while simultaneously and gently pulling from the bottom. Reverse the motions to tilt the monitor upwards again.
 

Serial Number

A silver identification tag (e) with the terminal’s serial number is located behind the left side of the screen. FullCount S-Line terminals have serial numbers beginning with 5Mxxxxx or 5Fxxxxxx.

Receipt Printer

The built-in receipt printer comes pre-installed on all S-Line terminals unless specifically ordered otherwise. The four key hardware features of the receipt printer are as follows:

6. Power Switch – The receipt printer power switch is located on the back-right side of the terminal base. The receipt printer should always remain on. This switch may be confused for the terminal power button and be turned off accidentally. If this occurs, an error will appear on the Touchscreen when a customer receipt attempts to print.
    
7. Feed Button – The paper feed button is located below the power switch. If the printer is on and a paper roll is properly loaded, this button will feed paper for as long as it is being pressed. Checking if it will feed paper is often the first step in troubleshooting an issue with a printer.
    
8. Printer Lights – There are three printer lights below the feed button.

• Paper – The paper light should normally be off. It will appear as a solid red light if the paper roll is out or jammed.
   
• Error – This light will also turn solid red for an issue with the paper tray. If the light is on by itself or blinking, please contact FullCount Support.
   
• Power – The power light should appear as a solid green light whenever the point-of-sale terminal is on. If the terminal is on but the printer power light is off, check the power switch above to be sure the printer itself is turned on.

9. Printer Cover Access Switch – The access switch opens the built-in printer cover. Press down on the switch to change the paper roll or reach other internal components such as the auto-cutter.
    

The receipt printer is connected (j) to the terminal via the port bay underneath the monitor. (See port bay image below.)

Port Bay

The S-Line terminal offers many port options, only a few of which are needed for the FullCount system. Our web-based software required the use of the terminal’s Ethernet port, while the USB ports may be used for various point-of-sale or troubleshooting purposes.
 

USB Ports

The USB ports are in two locations on the terminal.

11. A single USB port is located on the left-hand side of the monitor. A small, plastic tab must be flipped open to use it. This easily accessible port is useful when reimaging the terminal or when connecting devices that move between terminals (for instance, a barcode scanner or fob reader).
     

12. Several additional USB ports are located in the port bay underneath the monitor. Tilt the monitor all the way forward and remove the slated cover (if it has not been permanently detached) to access these ports. (See image below.)

Ethernet Port

The Ethernet port (m) is located in the port bay underneath the monitor (see the note above in section l.) It is below two USB ports and is labelled LAN which stands for local area network. Below the Ethernet port are two LED lights, which may be needed for troubleshooting. The orange link light (n) on the left indicates that the terminal is connected to a network. The amber activity light (o) on the right blinks to indicate that the terminal is processing data.

Magnetic Stripe Card Reader

The magnetic stripe card reader (p) is attached to the right side of the touch screen monitor. The magnetic stripe card reader is used for gift cards or employee/customer identification cards; this is not a credit card reader.  When swiping a card, its magnetic strip must face towards the touch screen.
