- An Epson TM-TV88II printer
- An Ethernet cord
- A static IP address to assign to the printer. Along with the network’s subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS servers.
- A computer or laptop
*NOTE: The following instructions are for a Windows OS, but a Mac OS can also be used.
In addition, be sure the printer is powered on, has paper, and has ink.
These steps assume the printer is new or still set to the factory
default settings. If the printer is not set to the factory defaults, the
device will need to be reset.
To verify the factory default settings, follow the instructions below:
- Find the pinhole button near the Ethernet port on the back of the printer.

- With the power on and paper loaded into the printer, press and hold the pinhole button for 8-10 seconds to print out a Dynamic Status Sheet.
- As soon as the status sheet begins to print, release the pinhole button.
- The default factory IP address should read 192.168.192.168.
If the IP address is correct, the printer is ready to be setup. If
the IP address is not the factory default, follow the steps in grey to
reset the printer.

To reset a TM-TV88II model printer:
- Turn the printer power OFF.
- Press and hold the pinhole button near the Ethernet port on the back of the printer.
- While still holding the pinhole button, turn printer power ON.
- When the printer begins to print the Factory Reset confirmation, release the pinhole button.
(DO NOT TURN OFF the printer while the reset is occurring.) - When the reset is finished, the printer will print out a "Reset Complete" slip.

With the IP address set to the default 192.168.192.168, follow the steps below to connect a computer or laptop to the printer:
- Use an Ethernet cord to connect the printer directly to the computer or laptop.
*NOTE: Disconnect the PC from all other networks, including Wi-Fi.
- On Windows 11, Open the Start Menu, and search "Settings" or select the gear icon on the bottom right of the start menu. Proceed to Step 7.
To set a static IP address in Windows 7, 8, and 10:
- Click Start Menu > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center or Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
- Click Change adapter settings.
- Right-click on Ethernet.
- Click Properties.
- Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
- Click Properties.
- Select Use the following IP address.
- Enter the IP address (192.168.192.160), Subnet mask (255.255.255.0), Default gateway, and DNS server.
- Click OK.
- Select Network & Internet.
- Select Ethernet. NOTE: If your Wi-Fi is still on, make sure the Wi-Fi toggle above Ethernet is set to OFF.

9. For IP Assignment, select Edit.

10. Toggle IP Assignment to Manual, and manually enter the following network information:
- IP Address – 192.168.192.160
*NOTE: If the printer is NOT
set to the factory default, set the computer’s IP address to the same
network as the printer but with a different numerical suffix. (SSS.SSS.SSS.DDD)
- Subnet Mask – 255.255.255.0
- Default Gateway – This is only required if the computer is not connected directly to the printer.

11. Click Save. The computer or laptop is now connected and ready to assign the printer a new IP address.
After connecting to the printer, follow the steps below to assign a new IP address:
- Open a web browser.
*NOTE: Close all previous browser sessions that were opened before the new network changes had been committed.
- In the browser address bar, search for the IP address of the printer (192.168.192.168).
*NOTE: The browser may require you to accept additional security risks.
- In the top right corner of the screen, select Administrator Login

- Enter the password to access the Administrator page.
- This is the serial number of the printer, found on a sticker on the side of the printer (Note: This is case sensitive)
- Select the Network Tab
- Enter the following settings to set a static IP address for the printer:
- Obtain IP Address – Manual
- IP Address – [Enter the IP address provided by your community]
- Subnet Mask – [Enter the subnet mask provided by your community]
- Default Gateway – [Enter the default gateway provided by your community]
- Primary and Secondary DNS Server - [Enter the primary and secondary DNS servers provided by your community.

- Press the Next Button then the OK button.
- After pressing Ok, print another Dynamic Status Sheet to confirm the changes. If the settings have not changed, restart the printer and check the status sheet again.
The printer has now been configured with the correct network
settings. Be sure to reset the network settings on the computer or
