Assign a Custom Field to a Customer
Custom fields are alerts for servers or kitchen staff about a
customer on an order. Customers are individually assigned custom fields
from their customer information pages in the Back Office. To assign a
new custom field to a customer, follow the steps below:
*NOTE: A custom field must already be created to assign it to a customer. To create a new custom field, see the instructions HERE.
- Select the Admin Center button.
- Select the Customers tab.
- If it is not selected by default, choose the Customer Information subtab.
- Find the desired customer and click the Details button to the left.

- Under the Custom Fields section, click the Add button.
- Select the desired custom field from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the custom field value for this customer- text for a text field, a date for a date field. Date fields must be formatted mm-dd-yyyy.
*NOTE: Repeat steps 5-7 for any additional custom fields.

- Click Save and Close.
The custom field is now assigned to the customer. An alert will
appear when the custom field conditions are met for the customer.
