Set Up a Gift Card from the Back Office
The Gift Card module offers communities the option to sell gift
cards to their residents as an additional form of payment on FullCount
devices. While typically sold from the Touchscreen, gift cards can be set up and managed from the Back Office application.
*NOTE: The Gift Card module is an optional, paid feature
that requires an additional FullCount license. To learn more about Gift

To set up a gift card from the Back Office, follow the steps below:
- Select the Community button.
- Select the Gift Cards tab.
*NOTE: The Gift Card tab will only be visible to communities that have purchased the Gift Card module.
- Click the Gift Cards subtab. It should be selected by default. If not, select it manually.
- Click New Gift Card.

- Enter the required gift card identification fields:
- Gift Card Type – Choose a gift card type from the drop-down menu. Your community may only have one type option.
- Card Identifier – Enter the gift card’s
unique identification number. On gift cards purchased from FullCount,
this number is located on the lower back of the card.
- Optionally, fill in the additional gift card fields:
- Expiration Date – Select a date on which
the gift card can no longer be used as a form of payment. If this field
is left blank, the gift card will be usable until its funds run out or
the card is reloaded.
- Customer – Search by last name to link the
gift card to a Customer Information profile. The card can then be
searched from the Touchscreen using the customer’s name in case the
physical card is not in hand. The customer is linked in name only, not through a meal plan or charge account.
- Notes – This field is a flexible way to
keep a written history of the gift card or enter notes that your
community may find useful later.
- Under Gift Card Load Transactions, enter an Amount in dollars.

- Click Save and Close.
The gift card is now ready to use from the Touchscreen application.
To reload a gift card from the Back Office, follow the steps below:
- Select the Community button.
- Select the Gift Cards tab.
- Click the Gift Cards subtab. It should be selected by default. If not, select it manually.
- Find the desired gift card and click the Details button to the left of the card.

- Under Gift Card Load Transactions, click the Add button.
- In the new row, enter an Amount in dollars.

- Click Save and Close.
The new amount will be added to any remaining dollars on the card.
These new funds will be ready immediately to use from the Touchscreen
application
