Make a Reservation from the Back Office

A community may offer Reservations as a service to its customers or as a workflow tool in dining venues. Customers typically request a reservation in FullCount Engage, but reservations can be made or managed by employees from the Back Office or on the Touchscreen.

Make a Reservation

To make a reservation from the Back Office application, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Community button.
     
  2. Select the Reservations tab.
     
  3. If not selected by default, choose the Reservations subtab.
     
  4. Click New Reservation.
     


 

*NOTE: Follow the steps below in order. Some parameters cannot be populated until the previous ones have been selected.

  1. Choose a Reservation Type from the drop-down options.

  2. Assign a Customer to this reservation.
     
  3. Select a Reservation Date.

*NOTE: Unlike FullCount Engage reservations, Back Office reservations do not have a postdate limiter. Some day and time restrictions will still apply.

  1. Choose a Reservation Time from the drop-down options.
     
  2. Enter a Party Size.

*NOTE: Back Office reservations can ignore party size limits and time slot seat limits.

  1. Add any optional Notes. These will appear to servers on the Touchscreen.
     


 

  1. Click Save and Close.

The reservation has been submitted. Servers can now see this reservation from the Touchscreen.

 

Edit a Reservation

Reservation can be edited from the Back Office, regardless of where they were submitted. In addition to updating basic information, reservations can also be seated or cancelled. To edit a reservation in the Back Office, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Community button.
     
  2. Select the Reservations tab.
     
  3. If not selected by default, choose the Reservations subtab.
     
  4. If necessary, search for the reservation using the Filter By search options.
     
  5. Click the Details icon left of the desired reservation.
     


 

  1. Change the parameters as described in the section above.
     
  2. To mark the reservation as seated, click Seat Reservation.
     
  3. To cancel the reservation, click Cancel Reservation.
     
  4. When you are finished editing the reservation, click Save and Close.
     


 

The reservation has been updated. See the sections below for further steps to seat or cancel a reservation.
