The Hold button on the Touchscreen allows users to requisition part of an order without sending items the kitchen should not yet begin preparing (such as entrees or desserts). With the basic Hold feature, these items must later be manually requisitioned by the server. However, items can be set up in the Back Office to automatically Print from Hold after designated a time.

To hold an item on the Touchscreen, follow the steps below:
*NOTE: Print from Hold item must still be put on hold, otherwise they will be sent immediately with the rest of the items.
If Print from Hold has been set up (see section below), the held items will print at the designated time(s). The server may move on to other tasks. If Print from Hold has not been set up, continue with the following steps.
*NOTE: Print from Hold items can always be send manually using these steps.
These steps can used as many times as needed on an order to requisition items at the appropriate time. Once the entire order has been requisitioned, close the order using the typical process.
To set up the Print from Hold settings on an item in the Back Office, follow the steps below:
*NOTE: If FullCount has not yet enabled the Print from Hold feature for this community, the following fields will be greyed out and cannot be set.

The item is now enabled to Print from Hold. If put on hold from the
Touchscreen, the item will automatically requisition after the set
number of minutes. If not put on hold, the item will send when the rest
of the order is requisitioned.
