Hold an Item and Print from Hold

Hold an Item and Print from Hold

The Hold button on the Touchscreen allows users to requisition part of an order without sending items the kitchen should not yet begin preparing (such as entrees or desserts). With the basic Hold feature, these items must later be manually requisitioned by the server. However, items can be set up in the Back Office to automatically Print from Hold after designated a time.

*NOTE: The Print from Hold feature can only be enabled by FullCount. For more information, please contact FullCount Support at (800) 289-9636 or by email at Support@FullCount.net.

Hold an Item

To hold an item on the Touchscreen, follow the steps below:

  1. After building the order, highlight the item(s) that should not be requisitioned.

  2. Press the Hold button on the navigation bar. The selected items will turn orange.

*NOTE: Print from Hold item must still be put on hold, otherwise they will be sent immediately with the rest of the items.

  1. Press Send Order to requisition the remaining items.

If Print from Hold has been set up (see section below), the held items will print at the designated time(s). The server may move on to other tasks. If Print from Hold has not been set up, continue with the following steps.

*NOTE: Print from Hold items can always be send manually using these steps.

  1. At the desired time, highlight the held item(s).

  2. Press the Hold button again. The selected items will turn green.

These steps can used as many times as needed on an order to requisition items at the appropriate time. Once the entire order has been requisitioned, close the order using the typical process.
