Create a Modifier

A Modifier is a simple field of text that servers can add to items as preparation notes. Modifiers are organized into in lists of options called Modifier Groups, which are assigned to specific items. Although used on the Touchscreen, modifiers are created from the FullCount Back Office. To create a modifier, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Admin Center button.

  2. Select the Item Management tab.

  3. Choose the Modifiers subtab.

  4. Click the New Modifier button.

*NOTE: Fields with an asterisk (*) are required.

  1. Identify the new modifier using the description fields below:
  • Description* – Enter the name of the modifier as it will appear in the Back Office.
  • Screen Description* – Enter the text of the modifier as it will appear on the Touchscreen.
  • Requisition Description* – Enter the text of the modifier as it will appear on kitchen requisition tickets.

*NOTE: After entering the description, the other two fields should auto-populate. The screen and requisition descriptions may need to be shortened to meet certain character limits.

  1. Click Save and Close.

The modifier is now created. It will not be available on the Touchscreen until it is Added to a Modifier Group.
