
Printer Groups allow an item to follow unique printer paths in different departments. (See image above.)
New printer groups should only be created when a new printer path is
needed, perhaps after a kitchen renovation or when additional printers
are purchased. To create a printer group, follow the steps below:
- Select the Admin Center button.
- Select the Printers tab.
- Choose the Printer Groups subtab.
- Click New Printer Group.

- Enter a name for this new Printer Group.
- Click Save and Close.

The new printer group is now created and ready to be assigned to items. (See step 5 of the article Create an Item.) The printer group must also be set up in each department. If a department has not been assigned, items with this printer group will not print from that department.
